What Is Going On In This Card:
Two people stand facing each other, as one graciously hands the other one of two golden chalices. Both look at ease, friendly, and affable towards one another, as if they are coming together or sharing something between the two of them. Over them, is a caduceus, topped with a head of a lion. (Which symbolizes a union, harmony or communication, probably, rather than a trip to the doctor. I had to double check my symbolism here.
) There is a sense of coming together, but it seems to be more in a platonic way, rather than a romantic way. Perhaps they are friends, business partners, or collaborating on a project together. Whatever the relationship, they “click”.They “get” eachother in a very deep way. Although their relationship is new, they feel as if they’ve known each other for years. They have a lot to say to one another! Their chemistry is uncanny, and will no doubt lead to any collaborations or future endevors being a great success. It could also be the friendship side of a romantic relationship, aside from the romantic aspects. It could also be more a more formal type of union.
How It Makes Me Feel:
I think of people that I really work well with or seem to hit it off with immediately. It’s a good feeling to meet someone that you click with that much, especially if you’re working on something together. It’s Friendship Chemistry, which is different than Romantic Chemistry. You don’t want to bone this person… You want to have a beer together, and make fun of people! You laugh at the same stupid jokes, and make fun of the same people! I think of Stan and Kyle on Southpark… No matter how much Eric Cartman’s fat ass tries, he will never have the kind of friendship that Stan and Kyle share with one another. They have a bond that cements their friendship on some very deep levels, that has everything to do with the kind of friendship that I assume their creators, fellow collaborators and friends Trey Parker and Matt Stone also share. Here are two guys who have been friends for decades, and continue to come together to make hilariously entertaining cartoons together. They are the right mix, creatively. None of their projects, movies or cartoons, would quite be the same without the input of the other. They have that creative chemistry and friendship that makes it possible to do such things. Yes, I’m a fan. You see that through their characters. They bring it, because they bring it together. I also think of some of my friends from design school…
What Does The Card Have To Say?
“Me and you
On the train
Me and you
To the rain
Me and you
We are the same
Me and you
Have all the fame
We need, indeed
You and me are we”–
“Me & You”- Barry Louis Polisar
“You have been my friend. That in itself is a tremendous thing. I wove my webs for you because I liked you. After all, what’s a life, anyway? We’re born, we live a little while, we die. A spider’s life can’t help being something of a mess, with all this trapping and eating flies. By helping you, perhaps I was trying to lift up my life a trifle. Heaven knows anyone’s life can stand a little of that.”– Charlotte, “Charlotte’s Web”
